プロジェクトの前段階として，1862年から現代までのロシアにおける長期人口統計を整備した論説，Long-Term Population
Statistics for Russia: 1867-2002,
RRC Working Paper Series No.2,

2007. (co-authored with Takako
MORINAGA and Yoshisada SHIDA)（「ロシアの長期人口統計」（森永貴子・志田仁完との共著），『経済研究』，第59巻第1号，2008年1月，pp.74-93）を公表しました．そしてその一部は既に，Google社の大規模データアーカイブプロジェクトGapminder.org
において，ロシアの人口
データソースとして利用されました（Gapminderデータソース文書:
Gapminder
Documentation #008）．これは長期人口統計整備プロジェクトで目論んだ，『公式統計よりもreliableかつusableな系列を作る』という目的に，まさに合致するものが出来たということか，と一同誇りにするところです．
このデータ整備に伴い，様々な人口統計を構築しました．ここではそれを提供することを意図しています．
