Purpose

The purpose of this symposium is to bring together researchers working in the area of rational choice and intergenerational equity. It is intended to be both intensive and extensive: intensive in that each presenter has enough time to go through some details and the audience has some time to ask questions; and extensive in that the topics to be covered by the presentations range from refinements of the classical impossibility theorems on the evaluation of infinite utility streams to problems arising from the multiplicity of choice criteria.
