Tajikistan has been the world's leading country in the proportion of remittances to its GDP since 2006; hence, Tajik migrants and their remittances can be regarded as outstanding examples in examining effects of overseas remittances on small-population countries. After overviewed Tajik households' and international migrants' profile, this paper examines the relationship between households' income level and (1) the size of receiving remittances from overseas or (2) probability of whether or not to send migrants from respective households. Based on household survey conducted in 2007 and 2009.
