Previous research
The focus of my research lies in the field of macroeconomics, with a specific emphasis on the Japanese economy. My studies have predominantly concentrated on the period post-1990, often referred to as the lost decades. During this era, not only did the Japanese economy face numerous challenges, but so did other advanced countries. My research aims to provide new perspectives for understanding the Japanese economy through international comparisons and the use of microdata.
Current research projects
In collaboration with Naoki Takayama from the Institute of Economic Research, I am addressing issues related to Japan's inflation, in the paper, "Hidden Stagflation," and the problem of low growth in the paper "Global Technology Stagnation."
