Previous research
After working in the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry in the area of industrial policy and macroeconomic policy, I have conducted empirical studies at the Research Institute of Economy, Trade and Industry (RIETI) for about ten years. Specifically, I have published articles and books on the subjects such as structural transformation, productivity, firm behavior and performance, labor management, and economic uncertainty. Most of my empirical researches use firm-, establishment-, and individual-level microdata.
Current research projects
My current research projects include productivity in the service sector, uncertainty and its impacts on the economy, and evaluation of industrial policies.
