Associate Professor Kensuke Teshima received the first prize in 2018 Victor Urquidi economics prize for his research titled “International Competition and Innovative Activities at the Plant Level: Evidence from Mexico”.

This prize was established by the Center of Economic Studies at Colegio de Mexico in honor of Dr. Victor Urquidi (1919-2004) who made an outstanding contribution to economics research and policy making in Mexico as well as to research and education of Colegio de Mexico. Two prizes are given annually for research advancing the understanding on Mexican economic issues.
