Professor Kazuhiro Kumo of the member of Comparative and World Economics research division of IER was awarded the title of Honorary Professor from the Economic Research Institute at Far East branch of Russian Academy of Science, for his international academic cooperation in Northeast Asia, as well as contributions to Russian economic research and development of research cooperation between Japan and Far Eastern area in Russia.  The ceremony will be held in coming autumn in Khabarovsk, Russia.
